Rincón de la Vieja Volcano is located in the Guanacaste mountain range, 1 hour from Liberia City. The time to reach the volcano are 2 hours, if you come from the Peninsula area.

One of the best natural destinations in Guanacaste, where you walk approximately two and a half hours to three hours, trails of good access very easy and comfortable for all ages,

The volcano has nine craters and only one are active but it is located on the flank east side of the northern Caribbean.

The trails are located at the foot of the volcano where you can see different volcanic influences how; fumaroles, Boiling hot water, hot lagoon , Volcanic vents , Volcanic mud components .

A very distinctive section of the volcano area shows the differences between primary and secondary forests and they will be able to observe the different vegetations of one with the other , between vegetation and dense forest hide many different wildlife that are part of the ecological life of the National Park.

Some of the animals that we can appreciate are the spider monkeys , howler monkey , white-faced monkey , Anteater , Toucans and much more.

And in mind that they walk in their natural life and can not always see them, chances can be appreciated a lot or a little.

In the National Park Station you will find, bathrooms , showers and information about the National Park, among other things. After finishing the walk, the lunch awaits for us will be at a local restaurant where you will enjoy an authentic Costa Rican food.
